Teen Among 2 Struck By Cars In Ridgewood 30 Minutes Apart: Police

Two people including a 17-year-old boy were struck by vehicles in separate incidents minutes apart on Thursday morning, Oct. 10.

The first incident involved the teen at 8:08 a.m., Ridgewood Police Capt. Glenn Ender said. He was riding an electric bicycle when he collided with a vehicle on Ackerman Avenue near Lenox. Minor injuries were reported and he was not hospitalized.

Then, at 8:27 a.m., a 24-year-old woman was struck at N. Maple Avenue and E. Ridgewood Avenue. She was taken to The Valley Hospital in Paramus with minor injuries, Ender said.
